We're in good company
Umineko is not as assuredly dead as my prior post indicates.
A certain someone (who is not Jama ;p ) has generated a lot of interest about completing Lambda-Delta’s Umineko on BD. If (if, no promises!) it happens, it will be a joint release. Some of the subbers who brought you Eps 1-21 will be back, but others have moved on.
Unfortunately, the project files for Euronymous’ magnum opus, the OP karaoke, melted along with much of the rest of his computer a couple of years ago. This means there is no chance of updating the lyrics. So, we’re left with a choice between upscaling the original overlay and having someone make a completely new OP karaoke with the official lyrics.
That is, of course, assuming this happens.

I”m probably not the best person to be saying this since I haven’t been active staff since quite early in Umineko, but then LGD and I co-founded this group, so I’ll stand on that leg.
Most people have already guessed, but I’ll make it official. Lambda-Delta is no longer active. There might be the odd OVA release if there’s something LGD wants to do, but there will be no further Umineko or Higurei releases, and it’s extraordinarily unlikely that LD will pick up another series.
I was amazed to see people are still checking for our releases. That kind of loyalty/enthusiasm is pretty touching.
I would love to see Umineko or Rei finished, but the staff have moved on. If there is a quality group that wants to do BD releases with our kara, scripts, and TS I’m pretty sure I could get them what they need (no promises). A group like these guys maybe? http://yabai.ulrezaj.com/. They finished Yoshi’s To Love Ru and did DVDs… Actually Jama already told me no ;(
But still, go watch their stuff and maybe drop some hints. Just don’t tell them I sent you.
